Getting to know… Vince Frye

Sports has played an important role in Vince Frye’s life for years. As an athlete in high school Vince participated in four sports, and he participated in track and field while studying at The University of Kansas. But that was only the beginning.
His love of sports has transferred into his professional life as well. As Vice President of the Topeka Shawnee County Sports Council Vince continues to be actively involved with local sporting events and organizations. He helps to create new events that will generate revenue for local businesses.
“The TSCSC plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life and economic growth of Topeka and Shawnee County,” Vince said.
In the future he hopes to see the TSCSC Sports Awards Banquet, held for the first time this year to honor outstanding high school senior athletes, become an even bigger event.
Vince also serves as a board member of the Sunflower State Games. He was serving as the president of the board when the games moved to Topeka.
“I enjoy sharing my interest in sports with others. It has been a fun, rewarding experience,” Vince said.
Vince and his wife Dana are partners in FryeAllen Inc., an advertising agency established in 1989. Prior to his agency career, Vince was a sales manager at WIBW-TV for 24 years.
Vince and Dana have been married for 28 years. Daughter Carley is 23 and lives in Topeka.
